Why your promise to stop using pens??...the only drawback with ballpoint is the impermanance of the ink, which might prove embarrassing if you sold the original and it faded in a couple of years...That aside you really manage to make such a humble instrument sing!

I didn´t keep the promise but I´m not very happy about my next pen drawings. It´s very frustating when You spend days working and at the end You don´t like the final result. With acrilic or other technics you can go back but You can´t with a pen.
I suppose this happens everybody

Quite true, but on the other hand you learn a lot by doing things that you can't make otherwise in the end. Once you've done a mistake, you probably won't do it again because it caused so much frustration the time before.
Oh well, in the end one learns by doing, regardless the style or means. Of course you learn by correcting mistakes, too.


Anyway, I think that the shading in this work is wonderful. All the effort you put in it really shows. You've deserved all the points you get.
